An enquiry was held following a report from Thomas Faulkner, the trainer of Just King High (IRE) that there was an area of wet bedding in the corner of the gelding’s box which he subsequently reported to the Veterinary Officer.
The Clerk of the Course, the Veterinary Officer and Faulkner were all interviewed.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration and Just King High (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Soar Above (GB), which started joint-favourite and finished unplaced, was slowly away and Jack Doughty reported that Candle Of Time (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
