The winner, Harb (GB) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Brighton on 9 August 2023, where the gelding finished twelfth of thirteen, beaten 14 lengths.
Peter Crate’s explanation that the gelding had benefited from a step down in trip from 1 mile to 5 furlongs and appreciated the Good to Soft, Soft in places surface, was noted.
Harb (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Rob Hornby reported that Exquisitely (GB), placed fourth, reared in the stalls and was therefore slowly away.
