Leaving the stalls, My Shagaf (IRE), unplaced, jumped left-handed at the same time as the winner Fiery Damsel (IRE) jumped right-handed causing both Trio (GB), unplaced and Imagine That (GB), unplaced, to become short for room and checked by their riders, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Fiery Damsel (IRE).
Following the race, Joe Leavy reported that PILGRIM’S PROGRESS, unplaced, hung badly left-handed and Daniel Muscutt reported that Uthooba (GB), unplaced, reared leaving the stalls.
