Permission was given for both Mcgregors Charge (GB) and School For Scandal (FR) to go early to post.
After the final fence, the winner, School For Scandal (FR) hung right-handed at the same time as Carriglux (IRE), placed third, edged left-handed inconveniencing Mcgregors Charge (GB), placed second, which was briefly left short of racing room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of School For Scandal (FR).
The winner, School For Scandal (FR), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Fontwell on 25 May 2025 where the gelding was pulled up.
Joe Tickle’s explanation that School For Scandal (FR) was able to get into a good rhythm at the front on a more galloping track on this occasion was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Pride Of Paris (IRE), unplaced, bled from the nose and Mozzaro (IRE), which was pulled up, lost its right-fore shoe.
Ben Godfrey reported that Mcgregors Charge (GB), placed second, suffered interference after the final fence and Conor Ring reported that Illico Du Breuil (FR), which was pulled up, jumped poorly.
