The Starter reported that Roisin Leech, the rider of John Locke (GB), Cameron Johnstone-Baker, the rider of Call Your Bluff (GB) and Mr Archie Loweth, the rider of Prairie Diamond (IRE), had failed to walk or jig- jog into the start, thereby causing a false start.
The riders were accompanied in the enquiry by a jockey coach.
After the riders and the Starter were interviewed, and recordings of the incident were shown, the rider’s explanations were noted.
The winner, Our Dylan (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Worcester on 22 October 2025, where the gelding finished twelfth of fourteen runners, beaten by 38 ½ lengths.
Kayley Woollacott’s explanation that Our Dylan (IRE) had benefitted from the step up in trip, from 2 miles to 2 miles 3 furlongs on this occasion, was noted.
Our Dylan (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Elliott England reported that Squire Danagher (GB), which was pulled up, was hampered by the faller and the Veterinary Officer further reported that the gelding had bled from the nose.
