I think the trip was a lot of it and Paul was once again ice cool, sitting in behind a wall of horses waiting for the right gap to come and he produced him at the right time. He must come into staying hurdle territory now after that. He has the option of going chasing, but we'd have to have a good look at keeping him over hurdles. That looks to be his job there. We'll get home and think about it but what I saw there, the way he improved going that extra trip, he looks to have the Stayers Hurdle written all over him. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Salvador Ziggy, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn into the straight involving Embassy Gardens (GB), ridden by D.E. Mullins, and Franciscan Rock, ridden by R.A. Doyle where it appeared that Embassy Gardens (GB) ran off his racing line and bumped Franciscan Rock. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.A. Doyle stated that he was maintaining his racing line rounding the bend when his mount received a bump from Franciscan Rock but it did not affect his momentum. D.E. Mullins stated that his mount was losing his position when brushing off Franciscan Rock. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
