Summer Oasis (GB), trained by Mark Usher, did not enter the parade ring due to the rider being late to weigh out having been late to arrive having been stuck in traffic.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race from 2 furlongs out involving the winner, Callahan (GB), ridden by Kieran Shoemark and Snow Light (GB), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Callahan (GB)’s placing as despite the filly hanging left-handed, carrying Snow Light (GB) several horse widths off its intended line, Loughnane’s ability to fully ride out to the line was never compromised and Snow Light (GB) appeared to lose no momentum, before being beaten a comfortable head at the line.
The interference was found to be accidental as Callahan (GB) hung left-handed despite Shoemark’s best efforts to correct the filly.
