Permission was given for Antelope Riff (FR) to go early to post; for Cospicua (GB), Loving Queen (FR), Samisen (IRE) and Valdorcia (IRE) to all a red hood to the start.
Half way down the back straight the green and free running Antelope Riff (FR), unplaced, stepped right-handed away from Cospicua (GB), unplaced, on its outside, resulting in Antelope Riff (FR) making contact with the rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Valdorcia (IRE), ridden by Toby Moore and Loving Queen (FR), placed fourth, ridden by James Doyle.
Being a 7lb apprentice, Moore was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The interference was found to be accidental as Valdorcia (IRE) shifted quickly left-handed despite Moore’s best efforts to correct the filly, causing Doyle to take a check when short of room.
Following the race, Billy Loughnane reported that Too Hot To Tango (GB), placed third, hung right-handed.
