Leaving the stalls, Photon (IRE), unplaced, jumped right-handed, bumping Solanna (GB), unplaced, and carrying the gelding off its intended line, which in turn caused Time Tested (GB), placed third, to become short of room between runners, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Time Tested (GB), placed third, suffered interference leaving the stalls; Robert Havlin reported that Captain Cisco (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed; and the Veterinary Officer reported that Risen Again (FR), placed second, lost its left-fore shoe.
