Permission was given for Havana Touch (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported that Havana Touch (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 2:49pm.
John Butler was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Regal Solitaire (GB), which having jumped from the stalls fly leapt for several strides which prevented the filly from being competitive and losing all realistic chance.
Phillip Makin was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the filly had also been unruly at York on 16 June 2023, Makin was informed that any future similar behaviour from Regal Solitaire (GB) may result in the filly being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Faye McManoman reported that Forever Eighteen (IRE), unplaced, jumped left- handed.
