After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However, having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
The Stewards noted that passing the winning post, going out on the final circuit, Summer In Milan (IRE), placed second and Ballyhiho (IRE), unplaced, were inconvenienced and forced wide by the loose horse.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Ferret Jeeter (GB), which had never previously been placed over hurdles, was considered.

His comments that Ferret Jeeter (GB) benefitted from its previous run, which came after a long layoff, the re-application of a tongue tie and the step into handicap company, were noted and the gelding was routine tested.
