An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the bend, at the end of the back straight, involving My Louise (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Marc Goldstein, Maggies Boy (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Quinlan, Nowyouvebinandunit (GB), unplaced, ridden by Conor O'Farrell, Dublin To Milan (IRE), placed second, ridden by Ned Fox and Kaproyale (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Liam Harrison.
The interference was found to be accidental as approaching the bend the rider of Nowyouvebinandunit (GB), had switched left-handed to the inside of Dublin To Milan (IRE), who edged marginally left-handed shortly after when maintaining its position of one off the rail.
This resulted in Nowyouvebinandunit (GB) becoming caught inside heels, causing the rider of Nowyouvebinandunit (GB) to have to check left- handed, and as a consequence of this, Maggies Boy (IRE) became short of room against the rail, causing the rider of Maggies Boy (IRE) to have to take a check and for the gelding to make contact with the rail which became dislodged as a result.
Following this, My Louise (GB) suffered minor interference when having to shift right-handed around the hampered Maggies Boy (IRE).
Liam Harrison, the rider of Kaproyale (GB), placed fourth, beaten by ½ length for third place, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Harrison was suspended for 7 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished third.
Following the race, Liam Harrison reported that Kaproyale (GB), placed fourth, hung left handed.
