The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Collective Power, ridden by Sorcha Woods, and Rappell, ridden by W.J. Lee where it appeared the two came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that he received pressure from his left. Sorcha Woods stated that she committed to a gap that did not widen as expected. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Sorcha Woods was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly and in taken her record into account(first offence), the Raceday Stewards suspended her for 2 racedays
Furthermore the Raceday Stewards reminded W.J. Lee of his responsibilities to report something that may affects the running of his horse as required under Rule 213.
Adam Caffrey, rider of Nikki Swango, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right in the final furlong.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards (70 = 10st)
