Permission was given for Bintjan (IRE) and LUNANAOVA to wear a red hood to post.
Just inside the final furlong, Dalmally (GB), unplaced, shifted quickly left-handed down the camber, before being corrected by its rider, which resulted in Bintjan (IRE), unplaced, and Play Me (GB), placed fourth, being taken off their intended lines, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong, involving Lunanova (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Hollie Doyle, Dalmally (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran Shoemark, Bintjan (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Egan and Play Me (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Donagh Murphy.
Being a 7lb claimer, Murphy was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The Stewards deemed the interference to be accidental as Lunanova (GB) shifted marginally left-handed, causing it to make contact with Dalmally (GB) and in turn unbalance Bintjan (IRE), at the same time as Play Me (GB), hung right-handed up the camber, before being corrected by Murphy, resulting in Egan having to take a check on Bintjan (IRE) and the filly taking a false step.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Dalmally (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
