The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Poet Master, trained by K.R.Burke (in GB), at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approaching the final furlong involving Poet Master, ridden by S.H. James, unplaced, Princess Child (FR), ridden by C.D. Hayes, placed fifth, and Camille Pissarro, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed second, where it appeared an incident may have occured. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.L. Moore stated that his mount leaned slightly left and just brushed Princess Child. S.H. James stated that he was tiring when receiving a slight bump from Princess Child. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount slightly brushed Camille Pissarro and in correcting her he bumped the retreating Poet Master. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
