Permission was given for Megalithic (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and for Zarakerjack (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately a furlong after the start, involving the winner, Advancing (GB), ridden by Daniel Muscutt; Modern Day (IRE), placed second, ridden by Dougie Costello; Political Power (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Darragh Keenan and Lovely Jubly (GB), unplaced, ridden by Paddy Bradley.
Muscutt was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to move right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing interference to Modern Day (IRE), and as a result taking Political Power (IRE) off its intended line, which in turn made contact with Lovely Jubly (GB), who was racing on its inside, causing the filly to become unbalanced.
Following the race, Millie Wonnacott reported that Guinness Lad (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away from the stalls and hung badly left-handed in the home straight; Paddy Bradley reported that Lovely Jubly (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approximately 1 furlong after the start.
