Things haven't quite gone to plan in the last couple of seasons but his very best form puts him up there with some of the great hurdlers.
Here we take a look at his profile in depth, starting with his early days and looking at how his career has progressed.
Foaled in March 2017, Constitution Hill is a bay gelding by the late sire Blue Bresil and out of the mare Queen Of The Stage. He was bred by Sally Noott at Throckmorton Court Stud and was originally purchased by Barry Gerraghty and Warren Ewing for a fee of €16,500.
Starting off in an Irish point-to-point at Tipperary as a four-year-old, a mistake at the last fence cost him victory and he had to settle for second behind three-time hurdles winner Anyharminaskin.
Leading British trainer Nicky Henderson then picked him up at the Goffs UK sale the following month, for a fee of £120,000. He was purchased on behalf of Michael Buckley and the horse has worn his familiar white silks ever since.
It was immediately obvious that this horse had all the talent in the world and he absolutely destroyed Might I in a novice hurdle at Sandown on debut. That horse went on to become a 146-rated chaser and Constitution Hill made him look silly.
A step up in grade was next on the agenda and he ran in the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle over the same course and distance. Probably a Grade 1 in name only, the form wasn't too strong but you had to be impressed by the manner in which he did it.
Henderson's gelding went off the 9/4 favourite for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and that was the last time he went off at odds against until the 2025 Fighting Fifth Hurdle. He absolutely destroyed a smart field and pulled 22 lengths clear of the runner-up.
Constitution Hill began the next campaign up at Newcastle for the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle and he made 2020 Champion Hurdle winner Epatante look like a 130-rated handicapper, cruising past her to score by 12 lengths.
Even more impressive at Kempton after that, he went on to win the Christmas Hurdle by even further and it was clear that no horse in the division would be able to get near him. State Man was next to have a go and he was dispatched just like the rest of them.
The Champion Hurdle was billed as the big clash between the pair and Henderson???s star hurdler travelled like a dream throughout and hit the front going easily after the third last and pulled impressively clear up the hill to score by nine lengths.
He managed to win the Christmas Hurdle at Kempton again the following season but he was then off the track for a year due to injury. A third Christmas Hurdle victory was next on the agenda and that came at the expense of Willie Mullins' star mare Lossiemouth.
His jumping problems started in the Champion Hurdle last year and he then didn't make it round in the Aintree Hurdle the following month. A bitterly disappointing effort then followed at Punchestown and he fell again at Newcastle in November.
