I can’t take any credit as the boys claimed him, James and Stephen (McAuley). Robson (Aguiar) recommended him highly. He’s a grand three-year-old, he’s hardy and takes his racing really well. He was drawn on the wrong side last time in Cork but he ran really well. Joey really fancied him today and he’s riding really well. He’s just riding with so much confidence and making all the right decisions. He’s just really grown up as a rider and is the finished article now. It’s great to have the lads back. The yard is going well but it’s great to add their fire power. They help me with the race planning as well, especially with their own. They are always looking ahead. They claimed another horse today and I think they’ve bought one privately as well. They love Dundalk, it’s close to them and that’s where they want winners. Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer

Nicola Burns, rider of Gordon Bennett, trained by Richard Brabazon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was slowly away

Jamie Powell, rider of She's Smart, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran short of room at the furlong pole

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Cash Me, ridden by G.F

Carrolll, unplaced, Velvet Skies, ridden by B.M Coen, unplaced, She's Smart, ridden by Jamie Powell, unplaced, Run Forrest Run, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced and Bluebelardo, ridden by G.M. Ryan, placed third, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount failed to pick up and took a check when things got tight. B.M. Coen stated that he had to sit for a stride as a precaution when things became tight. Jamie Powell stated that things got tight on both sides. J.J.G. Ryan stated that his mount rolled around a little bit in the final furlong. G.M. Ryan stated that he felt he was clear when he edged out. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted other than to remind G.M. Ryan to be more aware of the riders around him when making maneuvers in the future
