The lightly raced eight-year-old hails from a yard in great form and beat all bar better fancied stablemate Birdie Or Bust at Listowel last month. This chase is for horses rated 110 or less over hurdles at entry and Torquay Road has moved up to a hurdle mark of 113 after gaining his third career win at Galway last week. Riding arrangements suggest Sophia Rose, a maiden hurdle winner at Sligo, is preferred of Gavin Cromwell’s two runners while course hurdle winner Seskin Flash wasn’t disgraced when switching to fences at Tramore last time.
