Formscan By Alan Magee - CHERRY BLOOM won a Down Royal maiden last summer and, having got an initial mark of 77, now looks ready to add to that victory off a much lower rating. The Gillian Scott-trained filly has shown steady improvement over a variety of trips this winter and had Kirsapp a length behind in third when runner-up to Dubirango over 7f a fortnight ago. Pandemic Princess had the selection behind when landing a nursery over course and distance in December but the places may be reversed at these revised terms. Hardly Useless was far from disgraced in a valuable sales race at the Curragh last time and now makes her handicap debut, while Juno Beach and Sosallycanwait are others for the shortlist.
