Formscan By Tom Weekes - INDEPENDENCE DAY runs at Dundalk for the first time today and is tipped on the basis that he looks a very well handicapped horse. He has a bad draw in 12 to overcome and while it remains to be seen whether his best trip is 5f or 6f, his most recent run at Navan was very eye-catching. Once rated 100, his rating has dropped considerably in recent times and should be able to win from today’s 70 mark. My Good Brother was once rated 104 and while he doesn’t operate at the at level any more, nonetheless comes here fit and well and proven over course and distance. Haqeeba won easily over this trip at Bellewstown latest (beating Pillar in fourth and Sweetest Taboo in fifth and) and cannot be dismissed despite her 10lbs hike while Rosenborg Rider has been running reasonably well recently and can also figure. Lapilli was bought for 15,000GBP last month and is best watched on debut for new connections having finished last on his only start this year.
