Formscan By Tom Weekes - DANCING DOLL won her maiden over this course and distance and can add another win in a competitive handicap here. She ran well when third in the Ulster Oaks subsequently and while beaten again twice since, her latest run was very notable in that she met trouble in-running and finished full of running. A well bred type, she looks well capable of winning from her current rating. Black Label disappointed over hurdles last time out but can bounce back today, having already won twice won over this course and distance. He has some previous form on slow ground but was probably inconvenienced by soft ground at Galway latest and should figure, despite being drawn wide in 12. Nearly Famous won a Claimer easily at Fairyhouse on Wednesday and while that was on soft, she has form on good ground. She carries a fixed 6lbs penalty today and while she is now officially 1lbs ‘wrong’ having been raised just 5lbs for the win, today’s rider claims 5lbs, which almost negates that fixed penalty. One concern though is she ran badly on her only start at this venue last October. Serefeli has yet to show worthwhile form at this trip but nonetheless is a very solid performer who comes here fit and well. He has won at this venue in the past and has won over slightly shorter trips which is encouraging. Highly Toxic won a Claimer at Naas in June and has his chance again today, despite a break, from a 2lbs lower mark. Mokhalad has a first-time tongue-tie on his debut for new connections and is surely best watched stepping up markedly in trip for the first time.
