He made up a nice bit of ground turning for home then and claimed the well-backed Senior Montecristo inside the final furlong to secure success. 7lb for that victory doesn’t look harsh. Fortuna Vera is another with upside and it will be interesting to see how she fares on her handicap debut. The Footstepsinthesand filly stepped forward from a promising debut run to win her maiden in November. Habari wears cheekpieces for his handicap debut and is one to note having hinted at ability in maidens.
