Formscan By Tom Weekes - WARTIME LEADER returned following a 566-day layoff when running well at the recent Galway festival. Flat-bred and out of a Group 2-winning dam, he initially cost 200,000gns as a yearling and having run well on his belated bumper debut in January 2024, returned with a useful effort at Galway. That form is strong and he might just confirm placings with Red Oak, who finished 4.25 lengths away and ran well to finish second here a fortnight ago. Point-to-point winner St Lawrence’s Well also ran well wearing at hood at Cork recently while Luck Between Us and The Monkey Pole have shown ability over hurdles.
