The six-year-old gelding showed promise when third to First Figaro in a bumper at the Galway Festival last summer, and boasts one of the best pieces of form here by virtue of his second to Jetstream Jack in a Clonmel maiden over this trip. He blotted his copybook when virtually running out at the latter venue on his latest outing, and the bend after the stands here with its close proximity to the stableyard may prove interesting for Shane Shortall. Hopefully there will be no repeat of those antics. Pakman has had plenty of chances but remains the obvious threat. The Indian Haven gelding has plenty of decent efforts in maidens under his belt, and ran right up to his rating last time in a competitive handicap at the Punchestown Festival. Belharbour point-to-point winner Glencairn View has been placed on all three outings since switched to the track, and has the valuable assistance of Jack Kennedy.
