Formscan By Donal Murphy - MY MURPHY would be a fitting winner of this long-standing and prestigious contest. The Liam Burke trained twelve-year-old was second to Djakadam in the Thyestes here in 2015, before going one place better the following year. He pulled up in the 2017 renewal, but has since won a point-to-point, and performed with credit to finish third at Thurles in January. He had the smart duo of Gilgamboa and Burning Ambition ahead of him on his most recent start at Punchestown, but he has a much easier task now, and it'll be disappointing if he fails to make his presence felt. Venitien De Mai is an obvious danger with Lisa O'Neill in the saddle, while Enniskillen is another with solid claims. The most interesting runner in the line-up is Call Me Bubbles. This former Willie Mullins inmate returned to action after a lengthy layoff at Oldtown last month, and it would come as no surprise if he went close here.
