Formscan By Alan Magee - MIN is taken to complete a hat-trick in this race having made virtually all on his reappearance in the John Durkan at Punchestown. The son of Walk In The Park has proved a great servant winning three times at Grade 1 level last season but has still probably not got the acclaim that he deserves. The lack of a Cheltenham Festival success may feed into that but it’s worth remembering he would have won both a Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and a Queen Mother Champion Chase but for Altior. Paul Townend has elected to ride Chacun Pour Soi and the very lightly-raced eight-year-old remains an exciting prospect despite going down by nearly four lengths to A Plus Tard here at Christmas. He beat Defi Du Seuil at the Punchestown Festival last spring with Arkle winner Duc De Genievres about 20 lengths adrift in third and is expected to progress from his seasonal debut. Mullins has another significant contender in Cilaos Emery who remains unbeaten in three chase starts after readily beating Ballyoisin in the Hilly Way at Cork. Henry de Bromhead still appears to view A Plus Tard as more of a 2m4f type but he impressed here at Christmas and has scope for further improvement.
