Formscan By Alan Magee - Joseph O’Brien has an abundance of talent in the bumper division this term and ERIC BLOODAXE can confirm his position as the pick of a very decent bunch. A 125,000 euro purchase as a three-year-old at the Derby Sale appears money well spent with similar convincing victories both at Fairyhouse and this venue over Christmas. On both occasions he led early in the straight and galloped on strongly, last time beating Wide Receiver by over two lengths. Appreciate It made all for a clear-cut win over two and a half miles here at the Christmas Festival and Patrick Mullins is likely to make full use of his stamina again. Risk Factor was another to impress here at Christmas, while Lieutenant Command quickened clear in testing ground at Limerick and should not be underestimated. Shakespeare’s Word ran well in the opening four-year-old bumper at Naas and gets all the allowances.
