Formscan By Tom Weekes - TIGER VOICE is a smart recruit to hurdling and might be able to get off the mark first time over jumps here. The French bred gelding was a winner at Fontainebleau in March before showing smart form to then finish second in a Listed race that same month in Saint-Cloud and is clearly a talented type. He has joined leading connections, likes an ease in the ground and also makes his jumps debut at the 'correct' time of year. Connections of Flat To The Max will be hoping for much better from the ex-Ger Lyons trained flat maiden winner who unshipped his rider at the first flight at Ballinrobe in September, when the 11/10 favourite, and then blotted his copybook for a second time when fading tamely in the home straight at Fairyhouse on November 6, when a strongly fancied 11/8 chance. He could be capable of much more but nonetheless has plenty to prove today. Union Gap was fourth in that recent Fairyhouse race and while he stayed on for a never-nearer fourth, still needs to find improvement to win today. Here in The Dark ran a solid hurdles debut at Down Royal and while he has claims today, he was rated in the 60s on the flat and also failed to win in that sphere which is a concern in this higher grade over hurdles. Nibiru was a useful flat performer and Tony Martin's claimer ridden gelding could possibly benefit from today's introduction to hurdling.
