As was the case at Cork on her debut on November 4th, Jody McGarvey is entrusted with the spin on the well-bred Flemensfirth mare. At the Mallow venue on that occasion, Buttons And Bows, a McManus home-bred, raced in mid-division early. She was twelfth approaching the fourth hurdle that day, and she was pushed along from four out. Making headway in the straight, the selection stayed on well on the run-in to lead close home, getting up for a half a length success over Jon Ess.
