A point-to-point winner on debut, he then performed very well in two subsequent bumpers, winning at Navan before finishing a solid fourth in a hot bumper at Naas (the winner subsequently finished second in the Cheltenham Bumper). He has the advantage of previous point-to-pointing experience, is very likely to be ready for today's seasonal reappearance and this looks a very suitable starting point. Ballyneety travelled like a good horse in another hot Leopardstown bumper on St Stephen's Day last year before ultimately tiring in the closing stages to finish third. It is notable and a little worrying he did not reappear since then and while he could well return a much stronger horse, he is now tried in a first-time tongue-tie which is also somewhat notable. Sinoria was a GBP130,000 purchase following her winning debut point-to-point appearance last March and while the form of that point is ordinary as yet, she did win well and could well progress to be a useful performer. Calicojack is another tried in a first-time tongue-strap and while he showed useful form in bumpers last season, might find one or two too strong today.
