Formscan - Despite finishing second yet again at Cheltenham in the Ryanair, Jonbon still displayed plenty of guts. The 10-year-old did get the better of Thistle Ask in the Clarence House but that rival comes here fresh and has every chance of reversing the form. However, it is Melling Chase runner-up SOLNESS who appeals most. He played his part in what was arguably the race of the meeting at Aintree with Grey Dawning and might be able to dominant on the front end here. It's also worth considering Mirabad, who looked a different proposition under patient tactics in the Maghull.
