Formscan By Gary Carson - THE CHURCH GATE could be the one in a tricky looking contest. He comes into the race in fine form having won his last two over timber and is now rated 6lb lower over fences on his return to the larger obstacles. He won over hurdles here in November and seems versatile trip wise having run well over three miles in the past. Gotaway won here 11 days ago and obviously has to come into calculations. He was given a fine ride to lead in the closing stages by Philip Enright and with similar tactics could be a big player despite a 6lb rise. Gunfire Reef went up 3lb for chasing home Loch Luatha at Thurles last month and may just be getting to a high enough mark.
