Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - MADDENSTOWN is the suggestion. When Maddenstown ran fourth at Punchestown on January 13th there's little doubt that the two up front on that occasion, Vision D'honneur and Elixir D'ainay are smart, particularly Gordon Elliott's charge that passed the post in front. In that big field two miler Maddenstown chased the leaders, and he was sixth before the third. Ninth then approaching the straight, the Presenting gelding was soon making no impression, keeping on without threatening to finish seventeen and a quarter lengths off the winner. Deal With It and Halsafari will justifiably have their supporters too, but two and a half miles looks to be right up Maddenstown's alley.
