Formscan By Gary Carson - KALPANA ran a cracker on her last visit here when third in the Tattersalls Gold Cup and can strike again in a Group 1 now. She won at the highest level at Ascot last October in testing conditions over a mile-and-a-half. The Study Of Man filly showed last month though that she’s also capable of a top class performance on better going over this ten furlong trip. Oaks runner-up Whirl gets a nice chunk of weight and has to be a big danger. She was just edged out by stablemate Minnie Hauk at Epsom and is entitled to be a big player again. Magical Hope won well at Cork recently and could grab some valuable Group 1 black-type.
