Formscan By Tom Weekes - LAST KINGDOM can defy a 13lb rise following an effortless debut handicap win at the Fairyhouse Easter festival. A debut French bumper winner last August, his initial three hurdle efforts were dull but at Fairyhouse was far more exciting, scoring at his leisure and in the manner of a progressive four-year-old. That race’s runner-up Stuntman Steve again ran well the following day and while 13lb better off with the selection today, is open to less progression. Top weight Batman Girac wasn’t beaten too far in the Scottish Champion Hurdle recently and can compete. Must Meet Cecil won a recent Tramore claimer.
