Formscan By John O'Riordan - Having run his best race over fences to date when fourth in the Ulster National, BRAZIL could be ready to exploit a lenient chase mark. A three-time winner over hurdles, including at the 2022 Cheltenham Festival, the gelding can race off 17lb lower in this discipline. Although slow to show the same aptitude for fences that he did hurdles, the Padraig Roche-trained seven-year-old has gradually been finding his feet and a reproduction of that latest effort at Downpatrick would make him a leading contender. Top-weight Panda Boy is nicely handicapped once taking the 5lb claim of John Shinnick into account. Paggane has to be given serious consideration given that she is the sole Willie Mullins representative in the race.
