A winner on his stable debut at Thurles last November, the gelding was far from disgraced off a 9lb higher mark back at that same track on his next appearance. Dropped 2lb in the interim and with Shane O'Callaghan claiming 5lb, he can now race off a 7lb lower mark. Fresh from a winter break, the eight-year-old can take this if fit and ready. Ricky Langford should give the selection most to think about. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding remains well handicapped in this code relative to his hurdles rating. Point-to-point winner Arthor is another worthy of consideration.
