Formscan By Tom Weekes - Course bumper winner GRANNYS YARIS is a hopeful pick despite having poor hurdle form. She showed nice ability in bumpers and, at today’s course in August 2023, scored by seven lengths from the runner-up who subsequently achieved a rating of 118. She needs to recapture that old form and wears cheekpieces on handicap debut but has had a break since her last race. Mullanour finished fourth behind an easy winner at Cork last month and, at Limerick last January, bumped into a nicely handicapped winner, so should compete. Four-year-old filly Set The Tone may have been unsuited by soft ground on recent runs and had shown ability on good ground last autumn.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
