Formscan - The Dog Thief won his point-to-point and ran well on his debut under Rules for Tom Ellis when a 20-length second at Carlisle, weakening late on after racing up with the pace. He can go well but preference is for TOBYSHILL, a fellow point-to-point winner who finished fifth for the Twiston-Davies team at Ascot. Now with Nick Scholfield, he looks worth another chance in what appears to be a weaker contest. Plains Drifter is next best.
