Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Back last November (2016 that is) I penned the following piece - County Cork trainer Terence O'Brien has been dealt a blow with the news that his very useful bumper performer Articulum is unlikely to see action this term.The Definite Article gelding last appeared on the racecourse when competing in the Grade 1 Attheraces.com Champion I.N.H. Flat Race at the Punchestown festival.Fancied in some quarters for that two miler,on the backofacoupleof%A0wins over further at Naas and Limerick,the six-year-old failed to make a significant impression when finishing towards the rear behind Blow By Blow.Articulum was far from disgraced though,in the white-hot heat of that event,and there would seem to be much to look forward to with him over jumps,considering that he started off with a point-to-point win in March of 2015 at the renowned venue of Liscarroll.However, all of that is now on hold with O'Brien stating:"Unfortunately he's probably out for the season.He got a slightly sprained suspensory and he's unlikely to be back in time."For a selection I'll go with STONEFORD ahead of Itsonlyrocknroll, Secret Legacy and Dicey O'Reilly.
