Formscan By Alan Magee - DON COSSACK rates one of the most exciting bumper horses to go hurdling this season, and the testing conditions will play to his stamina strengths. Already one of the leading fancies for the Cheltenham Festival despite not jumping a hurdle in public, the powerfully built gelding was looked after by connections last season with a view to the future. However he will certainly not have things all his own way here with strong opposition in the shape of Sizing Gold and Ally Cascade. The former beat recent impressive Fairyhouse winner Defy Logic in a bumper at this venue last term, and the form of his promising hurdle debut behind Seefood will become clearer after the preceding Grade 2 novice hurdle. Ally Cascade came up against a decent sort in Jezki at Naas (pair clear of the remainder) and the winner has since followed up in style at Grade 3 level.
