Formscan By Gary Carson - A lot will depend on how Santa Monica fares on Friday night in Tipperary. She caught the eye running on well in Group 3 company last time and looks progressive judged on that effort. CAMELLIA JAPONICA ran really well on her debut here last month and looks the pick in her absence. She kept on well then when just going down by half a length to Leafy Shade in what looked a decent maiden, although there is little subsequent form to go on apart from the beaten favourite then, Diamond Fields (8th), going on to finish second at Cork recently. The big question is how good is regally-bred newcomer How High The Moon. The full-sister to Pretty Polly winner Diamondsandrubies gets a handy 3lb pull here on her debut. Another newcomer to note is the Dermot Weld trained Creme De La. The English Channel filly is out of a winning half-sister to US sire Hard Spun. Adelena looks the pick of Jim Bolger's two on jockeys bookings. She is entitled to improve from her debut run here in late June, when she didn't get the run of the race, but she does need to step up on that. Erysimum was a moderate enough third on her debut in a four-runner contest at Fairyhouse and this looks a stronger race.
