Formscan By Gary Carson - SUPER FOCUS has shown enough to give her a shout off a mark of 61 and may be worth a shot at a nice price. She ran a nice race on her return this season when fourth behind Diamondsandrubies in Tipperary and though it's dangerous to read too literally into that form behind the subsequent Pretty Polly winner it was still a decent run. The third horse then was third off a mark of 69 in a handicap subsequently and although beaten a good way it was in desperate ground. The selection looked to pay for going hard to get to the lead at Limerick on her most recent start, also back in April, but still was bang there over a furlong. A drop back in trip may suit now. Frozen Lake gained reward for consistency at Fairyhouse last month and the fact that his rating has been slipping a bit has to give him a big shout on his handicap debut. Captain Cullen ran really well here last time when chasing home Have A Nice Day and off just a pound higher mark should go well again. Three Bells, who was a length behind in third, is now 2lb better off and is entitled to be thereabouts also. Your Pal Tal bumped into a progressive sort in Stroll Patrol here last time and that rival has run well in Listed company since. He could make a bold bid under top-weight.
An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards (80 = 10st)Penalties - -(after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won. Any horse rated above 80 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 10st. Subsequently, the excess over 80 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse.
