Formscan By Alan Magee - MOIQEN was a useful sort on the Flat scoring twice for Kevin Prendergast including the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown. However that was nearly five years ago and the Red Ransom gelding has failed to score since, although he has shown some promise both over hurdles and fences. His chase debut over this trip at Clonmel in December when staying on into fourth behind Ros Brin, despite a significant mistake two out, certainly sets a marker in this company and the booking of Davy Russell looks significant. Dual point-to-point winner Lisrose has a promising chase run under rules to his credit when third to Definite Class at Kilbeggan last May but the current ground conditions are not in her favour. Chasing Shadows gained a deserved win in a maiden hurdle at Tramore on New Year’s Eve and, after stopping quickly at Punchestown last time, will be suited by a return to two miles.
