Formscan By Gary Carson - Not a strong contest and HASTY TIMES should be good enough to land this. He wasn't far away in a competitive enough handicap chase at Leopardstown over Christmas and a repeat of that effort would be good enough. He sets the standard off a rating of 109 which isn't particularly high in the context of most beginners chases. The Book Thief has slipped to a rating of 106 after some moderate enough efforts recently. He had shown some decent form last summer and given that he takes a drop in class now he has to be a leading contender. Tipped Up Harry won twice over hurdles at a moderate level but coming from a predominantly point-to-point yard he could improve for going chasing. Dunroe Boy has been running consistently and although overall form would suggest he's not as good over fences he is capable of going well in this company.
