Formscan By Alan Magee - DOLCIANO DICI is sure to popular with connections putting him in here to be claimed for just 6,000. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding has a rating in the mid 130’s both over hurdles and fences and made a pleasing return this term behind Alfa Mix in a valuable handicap hurdle at Navan. The selection faded in the closing stages in a similar event earlier this month but has much less on his plate here. Chateau Conti won twice for Mullins earlier in his career but appears to have lost his way while Doctor Phoenix (career high 156 rating over fences) is another on a downward spiral. Gordon Elliott is also represented by Tramore beginners chase winner Three Is Company and Mooltazem. The latter is a quirky character and not for the first time refused to race at Tramore on New Year’s Day. It looks like connections have lost their patience with a 5,000 price tag on him here.
