VARANDIR (1) looks the chief threat after a comfortable Group 3 success over this course in May and remains open to further improvement. SPACE WALTZ (4) impressed when landing a Group 3 at Chantilly last month with something in hand and is another progressive colt. ALAM (2) also enters calculations after a creditable fifth in the Prix du Jockey Club (Gr.1), where he was not beaten far.
