Formscan By Donal Murphy - This looks an open contest and a chance is taken on the Henry De Bromhead trained ZANE GREY. The 5yo son of Flemensfirth put in a decent performance on his racecourse debut in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at Punchestown in April and he had subsequent winner Curley Bill behind him on that occasion while Ciarans Oscar and Banana Flambe (who re-opposed here) were also behind him. De Bromhead is sure to have the grey gelding well schooled for his hurdling debut and with Andrew Lynch booked to ride he is worth taking a chance on. Dr Linzi won his bumper at Galway in September and then finished second over the course and distance last month on his hurdling debut. He was well beaten by Rory O'Moore last time out but this is a much weaker contest and he can be expected to run well. The Paul Nolan trained Ciarans Oscar ran a cracker over the course last month and he is sure to be well supported while Courtly Conduct is another with strong claims after finishing a fine third on his last outing behind Clonbanan Lad and Operating.
