Formscan - As Newmarket novice events go, the race BANYAN finished second in on debut probably wasn't a strong one. The daughter of Siyouni has been off for more than a year too, but it is interesting that the Gosdens are persevering with her and she is expected to relish the rise from 7f. None of the others with experience have shown more than a modicum of ability so Cracksman gelding Ted Le Saux is fancied to provide the sternest resistance. Fellow newcomer Imperial Decision is a tentative pick for third.
